Company history
Jeff Mackey is the founder, owner, and primary builder of APEX Residential Construction, L.L.C. He has a State of Michigan Builders License, Real Estate License, and has completed the Lead-Based Paint Training Program certified by the State of Michigan.
Jeff has lived in the Adrian area most of his life. He started his career in the construction industry after taking a building trades class in high school. Soon after college, Jeff began working for one of the most respected framing companies in Lenawee County and continued working with, and learning from them for the next several years. Jeff moved to the Ann Arbor area for short time and went to work for one of the largest roofing companies in Ann Arbor. Upon missing the small-town feel of Adrian, Jeff moved back home and commuted to work for the Ann Arbor carpenters union.
After acquiring over ten years experience in all aspects of framing, roofing, and carpentry, Jeff decided to start his own business. He acquired his builder’s license in 2000, and started APEX Residential Construction. In 2004, Jeff acquired his real estate license. Since APEX began, Jeff has personally overseen hundreds of jobs, and continues his belief that customers should feel as much a part of their job as he does. Many of our customers have been with us since our first year, and most of them have been led to us by word of mouth.
